Today I downloaded Calligra from http://www.calligra.org/get-calligra/ and installed it. I run Calligra Words and I think it looks cool. Here, I could see the user interface is more practical than that of Microsoft's Ribbon. Given that the desktop screen is now wider, there is excess space either on left or right side of the viewing window. This space should be utilized. Ribbons are just the other way of refreshing the old style menus; I don't think it's innovative. I'm going to write setup steps and basic steps soon.
